The newest 911 GT3 RS excelled on the 20.8 km Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit, clocking a time of 6 minutes and 49.328 seconds with racing driver Jörg Bergmeister behind the wheel. This achievement trumped the current GT3 lap time by 10.6 seconds.
Introducing active aero for the first time, the new GT3 RS boasts features such as an adaptable rear wing and winglets on the front bumper, as showcased in the onboard video released on the Nurburgring’s official YouTube channel.
At the core of the latest 911 GT3 RS lies a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-6 engine generating 525 horsepower. Paired with a 7-speed PDK transmission, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 184 mph.
Further enhancements include revisions to the GT3 RS suspension, with a double-wishbone front axle incorporating teardrop-shaped profiles to enhance aerodynamic efficiency, resulting in a 40 kg increase in front axle downforce. Additionally, the car features rear-axle steering for improved handling.
