In an audacious display of speed, Czech billionaire Radim Passer pushed his Bugatti Chiron to the limit on Germany’s unrestricted Autobahn in 2021, recording a breathtaking 259 mph, an event he captured on film. This stunt, however, drew criticism from the German officials, eliciting a stern rebuke from the transport ministry.
In a heartfelt message on social media, Mouazzen expressed his emotions: “I had dreamt of this moment countless times. When it finally happened, I knew I had joined the ranks of an elite few. The memory of arriving in Germany from Iran with my family, owning nothing but our pride, played through my mind. My father couldn’t afford a car back then. Achieving such a feat in my own Bugatti on a highway was beyond words. It was more than just about speed; it was a personal triumph.”
We should note that despite there being stretches of the Autobahn without speed limits, racing at such extreme speeds is very risky, endangering not only the driver but also others on the road. Continued incidents like these could lead to the German government implementing speed restrictions even on the Autobahn’s unrestricted segments.
