Porsche has officially unveiled the new 911 Carrera S as part of its iconic 911 series for the 2025 model year. This model sits gracefully between the standard 911 Carrera and the high-performance 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, offering an exceptional combination of power, luxury, and state-of-the-art technology. Equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer engine that generates a strong 473 hp (353 kW) and 390 lb.-ft. of torque, the Carrera S elevates the standards for driving dynamics and sophistication. Available in Coupe or Cabriolet formats, this car is likely to capture the attention of enthusiasts who desire both elegance and performance.

Powertrain: Turbocharged Precision

The 2025 911 Carrera S boasts an upgraded version of Porsche’s celebrated 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged boxer six-cylinder engine. With a 30 hp boost compared to its predecessor, this powertrain now produces 473 hp and accelerates the Coupe from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.1 seconds (with the Sport Chrono Package included). This represents a notable 0.2-second enhancement in acceleration over the previous model. The Carrera S reaches a maximum track speed of 191 mph, with power transmitted smoothly through Porsche’s esteemed eight-speed PDK transmission.

Porsche enhances performance in the Carrera S by integrating new turbochargers and an optimized charge-air cooling system, balancing efficiency and power effortlessly.

Standard Features and Customization Options: Melding Performance and Versatility

Porsche has made notable upgrades to the standard features of the 2025 Carrera S, including a robust sport exhaust system, brakes sourced from the prior Carrera GTS, and striking staggered 20/21-inch Carrera S wheels. Enhanced dampers with improved hydraulic functions deliver a more comfortable ride while ensuring Porsche’s renowned agility remains intact. Performance-centric attributes such as Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), along with optional enhancements like Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and rear-axle steering, provide drivers with the flexibility to customize their Carrera S for both dynamic driving experiences and everyday usability.

For enthusiasts looking for an even more exhilarating ride, the optional PASM Sport Suspension lowers the vehicle’s height by 10 mm, providing enhanced cornering performance.

Interior: Enhanced Luxury and Personalization

Within the Carrera S, occupants will find a notably enhanced interior featuring extended leather upholstery as a standard offering. Customization options are available, including a full leather interior package and the unparalleled Manufaktur Leather Interior, which boasts as many as 48 dual-tone combinations. Standard equipment comprises Matrix Design LED headlights, a wireless smartphone charger with cooling capabilities, and a drive-mode selector knob located on the heated steering wheel.

The Cabriolet version includes rear seating as a standard feature, while the Coupe model provides the choice to remove the back seats for a sportier aesthetic.

Pricing and Availability

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S is now available for orders, with expected delivery in the U.S. slated for Spring 2025. The starting price is set at $146,400 for the Coupe and $159,600 for the Cabriolet, which does not include a delivery fee of $1,995.

For enthusiasts seeking an ideal blend of performance, precision, and personal customization, the new Carrera S is poised to be a thrilling addition to the renowned 911 series.
