Aston Martin has introduced the DB11’s successor, the ‘DB12’, featuring significant advancements in technology and engine performance.
The Aston Martin DB12 is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that now delivers 34% more power than its predecessor, achieved through new camshafts, larger turbos, and an improved cooling system. With a peak output of 671 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, this V8 engine surpasses the V12 DB11. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the GT can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 mph.
While sharing the same base as the DB11, the DB12 boasts a chassis with 7% higher torsional rigidity. It features adaptive dampers and five drive modes: Normal, Sport, Sport+, Wet, and Individual. The car is also equipped with 21-inch wheels that are lighter by 18 lbs.
Aston Martins are renowned for their exquisite designs, and the DB12 is no exception. It features a larger front grille with repositioned LED headlamps and an updated front air dam. The front fender vents remain, while the rear of the car resembles the DB11.
The interior of the DB12 has undergone a complete transformation. It features a new dashboard, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the center console, a new 3-spoke steering wheel, and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The Aston Martin DB12 is expected to be available for purchase in Q3 2023, with pricing details yet to be disclosed by the manufacturer.
