After an extensive and discreet seven-year development and testing phase, Praga has unveiled the first Bohema production supercar, handing over the inaugural customer vehicle to Romain Grosjean on December 6th in the Netherlands. Following the debut of the pre-production prototype just two years ago, Praga’s engineering and design teams have meticulously refined the Bohema to align with the team’s ambitious goals. In an era where supercars can weigh as much as 2,000 kg (4,400 lbs), Praga’s accomplishment in maintaining a comfortable yet exhilarating driving experience at just 50 percent of that weight stands as a remarkable feat, showcasing the expertise of the dedicated motor racing enthusiasts and professionals within the 117-year-old Czech manufacturer.
The Bohema’s straightforward design philosophy includes a complete carbon fiber body and monocoque, excellent visibility, and an aerodynamic configuration that has been validated (with minimal modifications) in a Formula 1 team’s wind tunnel, alongside a commitment to lightweight construction. The result? Performance akin to a GT3 race car on road tires, along with the genuine ability to travel to and from the racetrack, offering ample storage and road compliance for overnight stays.
Jan Martinek, Engineering Director at Praga Cars stated, “Making something complicated is easy; delivering something supposedly simple is difficult, and we set out to provide a special group of owners with what’s basically a race driver’s supercar: lightweight, all carbon, ultimate aero and high power. You can use it on road and track, on the same day, every day. We wanted it to be the lightest supercar in the world, the fastest on track, and for it to be beautiful: no-one else makes a car like this.”
Drawing on a deep understanding of Praga’s legacy, Martinek elaborated, “Even in the early days of automotive design and manufacturing, Praga was known for its innovations in using lightweight engineering and aerodynamics: look at our Super Piccolo road racer from 1934. These core values are presented in the 2025 Praga Bohema, and it could be argued the Bohema is exactly the car that Praga would have developed today if car production hadn’t been halted 80 years ago.”

Overview
The Praga Bohema, road-legal and race-bred with pure combustion engine technology, stands out as a truly exceptional vehicle for 2025. Designed for remarkable power output and exhilarating agility on the track, the Bohema is recognized for its outstanding braking capabilities, featuring 380 mm carbon ceramic discs and six-piston calipers, all integrated with its lightweight and aerodynamic build.
Under the guidance of Juraj Mitro and Jan Martinek, the Praga design and engineering teams have crafted the Bohema to captivate all car collectors, while remaining a vehicle best suited for those experienced and daring drivers who can truly appreciate its capabilities. This direction aligns with the insights provided by racer Romain Grosjean, who played a significant role in its conception and development.
The inaugural Praga Bohema has been delivered, with plans for a limited production run in 2025 to guarantee exceptional build quality and the ability to support owners with service, aftersales, track assistance, and personalized customer handovers. Each scheduled car will showcase unique color schemes and trim details, inclusive of bare carbon and gold accents.
Handcrafted by Praga’s skilled artisans and painted by one of the leading automotive paint shops in the Czech Republic, the first customer delivery garnered a simple but profound reaction: “Magnificent!”.
Mark Harrison, Sales and Marketing Director for Praga Cars, remarked: “The quality of the first Bohema that Praga has delivered cannot be understated. It is very easy to promise car enthusiasts an enticing new vehicle, but incredibly hard to design, develop and then produce a car that delivers on that promise. Praga has done exactly that with the Bohema: a supercar of superb quality in production and performance – with an earned right to be considered by all collectors.”
From 2026 to 2028, Praga plans to increase output to one or two cars monthly. With a target of producing fewer than 20 cars per year to ensure exclusivity and quality, Praga will focus primarily on five key markets: EU/UK, the USA, South Asia, the Middle East, and Japan.
Ivan Krakora, Praga Group CMO, stated: “Everyone at Praga is humble and proud of this business that was founded in the late-19th Century. We’re also aware that heritage means nothing unless a product is delivered that resonates with today’s car enthusiasts and collectors. Delivering the first customer car is the ultimate confirmation of Praga’s right to exist as a supercar manufacturer: we are proud that automotive connoisseurs have put their faith in Praga.”
