Among the most elite offerings in the Aston Martin Vantage series is the V12 Speedster, with just 88 units made. Competing against other rare open-top models such as Ferrari’s Monza SP1 and SP2 and McLaren’s Elva, the Speedster delivers a unique driving experience.
The Speedster’s design is influenced by the iconic Aston Martin DBR1, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959, while also incorporating elements from the 2013 CC100 concept displayed at the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
Equipped with a robust 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, the Speedster produces 690 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. It features an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that powers the rear wheels, allowing the Speedster to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 186 mph.
This car features an aluminum chassis taken from the DBS Superleggera, designed with special front components to house its powerful engine. Some impressive features include 21-inch forged alloy wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, an adaptive suspension system, and two helmet compartments located behind the seats. Moreover, instead of a standard glovebox, there’s a detachable leather bag.
This particular model, number 61 of the limited 88 units, is showcased by RM Sotheby’s and features a striking finish in Aston Martin Racing Green, accented with white Clubsport roundels. The interior boasts an elegant Conker saddle leather combined with a Viridian Green color scheme.
Remaining with its owner in France, this Aston Martin V12 Speedster has traveled just 46 kilometers since it was purchased. It will be auctioned in November, with a price range projected between $850,000 and $1,200,000 USD. The sale will also include its original documentation and a pair of matching Aston Martin Racing Green helmets.
