Porsche is also working on a novel variable-geometry turbocharger for the GT2 RS, designed to capture electric energy during acceleration. Anticipated to deliver a total output of approximately 750 hp, the new 911 GT2 RS will stand as the most potent road-legal Porsche vehicle to date.
Initial reports indicate that the new GT2 RS is slightly heavier than its predecessor, the GT3 RS, by around 100 kg. Porsche is targeting a blistering 0-62 mph acceleration time of 2.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 211 mph for this new model.
Staying true to its heritage, the 992-generation 911 GT2 RS will see limited production numbers when it hits the market in 2026, with an expected price exceeding $300,000.
