The new Porsche 911 has been released, bringing with it some controversial changes that are sure to stir up debates. One of the significant updates in the new GTS model is its hybrid system. Unlike traditional plug-in hybrids, the new 911 prioritizes performance over solely electric driving.
The GTS T-Hybrid comes with a 3.6L flat-six engine supported by two electric motors. One motor eliminates turbo lag by quickly spooling the turbocharger, while the other provides additional power. Together, this system produces an impressive 534 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 194 mph.
The new GTS version has also undergone a facelift, now featuring integrated indicators in the headlights, revamped bumpers, and new alloy wheels. Inside, the most significant change is the fully digital driver’s display, with all dials visible from behind the steering wheel.
