The Porsche Carrera GT was first revealed as a production model in March 2003 at the Geneva motor show in Switzerland. Initially, the plan was to manufacture 1000 units, but due to high demand, this number was increased to 1500. However, in the end, only 1270 Carrera GT supercars were actually produced. Production took place between September 2003 and April 2006, with an average of about 2 cars being made per day over a span of 2 years and 7 months. The Carrera GT project stood out as one of the rare supercar ventures that proved to be a financial success.
