McLaren has a long lineage of supercars and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon with their new 2021 McLaren 765LT. The new 765LT has a 754-hp twin-turbo V-8 engine that only weighs 3,000 making the 765LT one of the lightest and fastest models offered by McLaren.

The LT stands for Longtail for its a lightweight construction and customizable features that are for the faint of heart, or wallet. The LT incorporates features and specs seen from the iconic McLaren Senna.

The new 765LT is even more expensive than its shorter counterpart but compensates with speed. McLaren plans to only produce 765 models (hence the name) with an expected 30% to 40% of models intended to be sold in the U.S. that is expected to go on sale by the end of this year.

The cost has yet to be confirmed by McLaren but experts are guessing that it will cost around $375,000 which is $75,000 more than the base 720S model. The base model is expected to feature Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires for maximum performance.

McLaren will also be offering the MSO Clubsport Pro package that features upgraded brakes, carbon-fiber accents, lightweight racing seats with six-point harness, and the McLaren Track Telemetry system for record lap times. McLaren also recommends for lighter models customers can opt for a front-end lift system and the four-speaker stereo.

The LT feeds the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to help the LT produce 754 horsepower. The Longtail will go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and hit 124 mph in only 7.2 seconds.

All we can say is if you think you see it coming, don’t blink or you might just miss it.
