Restoring An Old Porsche Isn’t A Bad Idea.

There is never a shortage of fun moments at the car festival. The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019 edition took us back to an amazing supercar known as the Porsche 917K. It actually happens to be only one of the two models existing in the world.

The owner of this car Count Gregorio Rossi di Montelera, heir to the famous Martini and Rossi fortune and an ardent fan and supporter of Porshe. Once he agreed to have the 917, the process of making it road legal became part of its history.

It was a daunting task that required some work on the car. The exhaust was one of the elements that needed reworking while the rear fin had to go. There were several minor modifications too.

The vehicle rides on a 4.5-liter flat-12 engine that does some very impressive sounds. In its heydays, the Porsche 917K was an auspicious car whose owners held very dear and close at heart. The restoration of any 917K would be music to car fans and enthusiasts.

We cannot fail to notice the high value in the restoration market. Collectible cars are also increasing with lots of special projects coming from automakers.

The competitiveness of these ideas has made auto shows, displays and the general festival market a good place to catch up and enjoyment. It is such objects of desire that makes us truly say you only live once, live well.
