The Bugatti Divo was revealed on August 24, 2018, at ‘The Quail – a Motorsport Gathering’ in Monterey, California. It is named after the French racing driver Albert Divo, who achieved two Targa Florio victories with Bugatti in the 1920s. The car is primarily based on the Bugatti Chiron but incorporates new aerodynamic enhancements, a firmer suspension setup, and a modest weight reduction. These modifications make the Divo more suitable for track usage compared to the Chiron.
The Bugatti Divo is equipped with an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine that can produce approximately 1500 hp at 6,700 rpm and a constant torque of 1,600 Nm from 2,000 to 6,000 rpm. This powerful engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. You can witness the Bugatti Divo in action on the Bernina Pass hillclimb course in Switzerland by watching the video below.
