Volkswagen Arteon Is Far Better Than The VW Passat In Performance

Volkswagen insists that the Arteon hasn’t come to compete with the Passat but rather to help the beloved sedan scale higher heights. This is quite a gargantuan task to take up, for the Passat is in many ways a well-acknowledged performer in its class.

The Arteon comes with a bigger size inside-out, thus promising to be even a more vivid day-to-day performer. From a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, this enviable sedan produces an impressive 268-hp.

It is attached to an eight-speed automatic gearbox transmission. You can pick the front-wheel-drive that wears 18-inch wheels as standard or go for the all-wheel-drive which has optional 19-inch wheels. The Arteon’s frame sits on an adaptive suspension that makes an automatic adjustment to your style of driving but you can also set it manually to whatever suits you best.

Inside, the Arteon is a clever tech-savvy vehicle that gives you three-zone climatic control which adjusts automatically, a touchscreen infotainment system is standard and there is also a new Digital Cockpit. Drivers are also well catered for with automated emergency braking as well as blind-spot monitoring.

Because the Arteon is reasonably longer and wider,(it has a wheelbase of 111.7 inches) the rear seats are roomier even for taller passengers. The interior further takes in a host of high-quality materials that are closely near luxurious. In the end, the Arteon affords to stand out even where and when it still bears several similarities with Sedans in its class.
