Identified in honor of the renowned Monégasque racing driver Louis Chiron, the Bugatti Chiron was unveiled as the Vision Gran Turismo concept car at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show before going into production the following year.

The Chiron aimed to outperform the Veyron in every aspect, striving to become the fastest, most exclusive, and priciest production car globally. It housed the Veyron’s 8.0-liter turbocharged W16 engine but got significant enhancements to reach 1,500 horsepower.

Packaged with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a Haldex coupling distributing power to all four wheels, the Chiron could hit a top speed of 261 mph, with the capability to go from 0 to 186 mph in just 13.6 seconds. Production was capped at 500 units by the end of 2022, with several special editions also released.

During RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction on August 15-17, 2024, two special edition Chirons will be up for bidding, including a 2023 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and a 2021 Bugatti Chiron Sport Noire, both boasting low mileage.

Approximately 80 Super Sport models were produced by Bugatti, each showcasing an astounding 273 mph top speed. This hypercar stood out from its Chiron predecessors with an elongated body and advanced aerodynamics, engineered for optimal high-speed stability. Notable design features like air curtains and an extended rear contributed significantly to the car’s enhanced performance.

This specific Super Sport was originally delivered in April 2023 with only 243 miles on it. It showcases an eye-catching two-tone exterior coupled with a luxurious Havana leather interior. Its exceptional condition and unique specifications set it apart as a highly desirable collectible.

This Bugatti Chiron Sport Noire, with only 418 miles on the odometer, is an exceptionally rare and visually striking example of automotive artistry. Produced as part of a limited 20-car run, the Noire distinguishes itself with a dramatic, almost sinister aesthetic.

The car’s outer surface is covered in matte carbon fiber, highlighted by Nocturne black details on the mirrors, wheels, brake calipers, and the iconic horseshoe grille. Inside, the interior continues the dark theme with seats upholstered in Beluga Black leather and accents of black carbon fiber.
