Vehicles nowadays are maturing fast… whatever they feed on is still a secret.
Sedans are becoming subcompact min SUVs and growing to full SUVs quite rapidly.
In other words, cars are constantly shifting from small-size classes and it is evident this is a demand-driven change. For a long time, the Nissan Pathfinder looked so rugged that it seemed ready to go war.
It wore a serious off-road face that would scare away many freak drivers. Unknown to many is that the Pathfinder has carried around great soft and near luxurious features all along.
And now, the 2019 version has even decided to tone down the rugged look for a spot on the softer side of things. This is the ultimate family car.
With seven seats, a standard V-6 engine, and available all-wheel drive, fourth-generation Pathfinder ably represents competitiveness. It can easily wedge out the likes of the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Highlander.
The change in appeal to has evidently and positively shifted tides for Nissan as it reaps big from the Pathfinder sales. The Pathfinder carries around some good technology too.
You will enjoy voice recognition, iPhone connectivity, though not through Apple CarPlay as well as forward collision warning with automatic braking. The challenge with some of the tech features here is that they are considerably behind the competition.
For instance, Android users need to go through Bluetooth audio to play their music. Considering that Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support is prevalent among the Pathfinder’s competition, you would wish that Nissan does better here.
We are confident that the Pathfinder will continue to be a family SUV to beat through 2019 and beyond.
