Alpine has unveiled the most advanced version of the A110 sports car. The Alpine A110 R represents the pinnacle of lightweight design and performance.
By extensively incorporating carbon fiber components, Alpine has succeeded in reducing the weight of the A110 R to just 1082 kg, which is 34 kg lighter than the A110 S model. The A110 R features a carbon fiber bonnet, single-piece carbon fiber seats with 6-point harnesses, and a lightweight carbon fiber rear clamshell. The car also boasts exclusive 18-inch carbon fiber wheels.
Equipped with the same 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine as the A110 S, the A110 R delivers 300 hp at 6300 rpm and 251 lb-ft of torque at 2400-6000 rpm. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 177 mph.
In order to enhance its track performance, Alpine has modified the chassis of the A110 R, including a 10 mm lowering of the car, along with the option to further lower it by an additional 10 mm using adjustable shock absorbers. The vehicle also features stiffer anti-roll bars and springs, among other enhancements.
For optimal performance, the A110 R is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 semi-slick tires, larger Brembo brake discs, and specially designed vents to cool the brakes during intense use. The inclusion of a standard sports exhaust system further enhances the driving experience.
