Quite frankly, Nissan has had one of the most spectacular financial woes in recent history. Its troubles are far-reaching, but the automaker is still making cars that Americans love. The Sentra, The Rogue, and the Altima, rated among 20 best sellers of 2019.
The Sentra is reported to have sold 173,000 units in just 10 months, and that is something to write home about. The 2020 Nissan Sentra rides on an entirely new platform that gives it quite some distinguishing looks from its predecessor.
It both the interior and exterior, it comes out more stylish, and still manages to stash some lovely tech applications along. In addition, it packs a brand-new engine.
The 2020 Sentra brings just one engine option, which is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that gives out 149 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. It rides on an automatic CVT transmission, without the option for manual cruising.
Hopefully, this engine should make acceleration smoother and upgrade Sentra’s fuel economy. The interior is also characterized by a set of higher quality materials, accentuated by details such as satin-chrome aluminum accents and contrast stitching.
Cloth comes as the standard, although the top-level trim is gifted a leather heated-seat option.
The infotainment space also gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen, and the optional 8.0-inch screen is available for fitting on higher trim levels. Some trims also benefit from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
The Sentra comes out as an economical car that still offers a good combination of comfort and a sense of style. It would seem, in fact, the extreme makeover meted on this car was worth it.
