Honda has done quite a remarkable job at maintaining the Honda Civic Type R as a fantastic sporty car. From all dimensions, Honda insists that anything and everything on this car is meant to help it take things over to the next level. From a point of performance, this is quite well achieved.
In many ways, the Civic Type R will not insinuate that it is a lengthy hatchback but wants you to see a vehemently engineered sports car instead. It is a front-wheel drive and this is not a bad combination in this era.
Further adjustments for 2019 are seen on its instrument panel. A volume knob, as well as physical buttons, have been placed on to give easier access to the infotainment system.
You also notice that the climate controls have been braced with hard buttons to adjust the speed of the fan. The cupholders too are now wider and larger and the general steering wheel controls are heavily improved.
This is a car that carries a graciously developed four-cylinder engine that is turbocharged. This drivetrain gives it 306 ponies and 295 lb-ft of torque.
With these attributes, this Honda cruises to 60 mph in only 4 seconds The short-throw manual six-speed transmission is a befitting crowing and works well on the clutch.
This is a track-focused car and does everything possible to amplify this aspect.
