In the year 2024, the Mercedes-AMG C63 has been updated to feature a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. Despite its small size, advancements in hybrid technology have allowed Mercedes to achieve an impressive output of 671 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque.
This 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine is paired with a 204 horsepower electric motor located on the rear axle. With the internal combustion engine alone producing 476 horsepower, it stands as the most powerful 2.0-liter engine globally.
The C63 incorporates turbocharger technology inspired by Formula 1, with an electric motor positioned between the turbine and compressor side of the turbo to generate boost as needed. A 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is combined with Mercedes’ 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system.
Thanks to these advanced technologies, the new C63 S E Performance can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 174 mph.
The 2024 Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance competes directly with the BMW M3 Competition. While both vehicles offer all-wheel drive, the M3 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine without hybrid assistance.
