Brands such as Mclaren and Ferrari hardly get it wrong when it comes to crafting and delivering awesome editions of special cars. It even gets better when they are mid-engined vehicles.
You need not look further than the track-focused 458 Speciale and 430 Scuderia. Both cars were useful on the road as they were on the track.
A good addition to this list has to be the Ferrari 488 Pista. Laced with lots of engine enhancements and lightweight components, the 488 Pista is an admirable roadmaster for which there is a lot to write home about.
The powertrain is a V8 twin-turbo delivering produces 710 bhp and 770 Nm of torque, thanks to the lightweight, estimated at just 1,385 kg. This car will use only 2.9 secs to get to 60 mph, placing it well enough at the top of its class.
As far as aerodynamics go, the new ‘S-duct’ has been ingrained into the 488’s nose. The optional stripe livery adds some nice look to running across the hood to the back and shows off the car as outstanding.
Combined with the winglets and underbody front diffusers, the S-duct contributes to significantly more front downforce than the GTB. The Pista is made to look and work its own way around tracks. It is proving to be a good car recognizable from a good distance.
