McLaren, the renowned British car manufacturer, made headlines in July 2018 with the unveiling of Track25 – an ambitious initiative to introduce 18 new hybrid models by 2025. This monumental undertaking is backed by a substantial investment of 1.2 billion euros.

The primary objective of Track25 is to transform all McLaren sports cars and supercars into 100% hybrid vehicles by 2025. CEO Mike Flewitt envisions these hybrids to retain the familiar characteristics of traditional models while incorporating new and enhanced features.

McLaren remains committed to its signature carbon-fiber engineering and mid-engine setup as it ventures into the hybrid realm to align with emission targets and performance enhancements.

The company’s existing hybrid model, the P1, has received acclaim for its advancements. With a focus on developing lighter, rapidly charging, high-power battery systems, McLaren is accelerating its eco-friendly initiatives. This strategic move propels McLaren towards its goal over the next seven years.

The expansion of its product portfolio and technological advancements are key outcomes of this plan, establishing McLaren as a dominant force in the sports car and supercar market worldwide.

To meet the escalating demand for its products, McLaren plans to increase production by 75% and expand its retail network. Flewitt acknowledges the dedication and talent of McLaren’s team as integral to the company’s present accomplishments and future prospects.

As the automotive industry evolves, McLaren’s forward-thinking approach positions it well for sustained growth. The company’s emphasis on cutting-edge technology and innovation underscores its commitment to excelling in the competitive market.
