The Kia Niro has tried to keep pace with the changes taking place in the automotive industry. It is now refreshed for 2020 and a lot of goodies are on board.
Highlights include a new set of headlights, a redefined rear fascia lot of tech improvements. All models for 2020 receive an 8-inch touchscreen as standard.
You can also opt for the ultra-wide 10.25-inch touchscreen that is offered in conjunction with the navigation system. There’s also a larger driver information screen in the instrument panel. In addition, there are new paddle shifters as well as improved ambient lighting around the interior.
Kia has included automatic high-beam control to enhance safety and the adaptive cruise control system is also fortified so that it can now stop and accelerate in heavy traffic without forcing the driver to take control. For the nonhybrid Niro, the engine on the Kia Niro is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that is paired with an electric motor and attached to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With this one this car will make 139 horsepower and takes 8.6 seconds from zero to 60 mph.
The Kia Niro is an everyday car much like the Toyota Prius. Priced at between $24,000 and $38,000 for the EV, the Kia Niro continues to woo the masses without leaving any stones unturned.
