The Innovative Cupra SUV
In the world of C-segment SUVs, most buyers seek spaciousness, practicality, fuel efficiency, and value for money. While many automakers cater to these needs, some stand out by introducing cutting-edge products that set the stage for the future.
The Cupra Formentor concept embodies forward-thinking design by incorporating a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a battery, an electric motor, and a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.
When the production version debuts in 2020, it will also offer the option of the Cupra Ateca’s powerful 296bhp 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The Formentor’s sleek profile with a sloping roofline, sharp curves on the sides, well-defined rear, and two-tone body finish make it a standout in the Cupra lineup.
Inspired by the Seat Tarraco SUV, the Formentor showcases a front grille that adds a touch of sophistication, while the rear boasts a striking single LED light strip running along the car’s boot lid.
Inside, the Formentor features front bucket seats that emphasize its performance-oriented design, along with a digital dashboard and a “floating” 10-inch touchscreen that offer easy access to controls and information. Even as a concept car, the Formentor demonstrates impressive capabilities.
