If there is a big bold British car that is oozing confidence, opulence and posh in 2019, it is the Jaguar XJ. This full-size luxury sedan is unapologetic full of boisterous character, the kind that bullies others.
It is rightfully justified to be as boastful as it is owing to its possession of several outstanding characteristics. The newly fashioned car now carries a highly refurbished V8-powered named the XJR575.
It replaces the XJR. This new engine raises Jaguar’s capability from 550 to 575 horsepower and 517 pound-feet of torque. This is a massively muscled sedan that knows how to carry and utilize engine power.
It has also been enhanced through aerodynamic shifts outside and the interior has also faithfully complemented the new aerodynamic perspectives. This Jaguar further incorporates 4G Wi-fi capabilities, Jaguar’s Touch Pro infotainment now available on a 10-inch central touchscreen.
Some models, specifically the rear-drive come with a lane-keep assist as well as driver drowsiness monitoring. There are a number of trim engine choices available for the XJ model.
The XJ R-Sport carries a V6 and so does the XJL Portfolio. There is also the V8 supercharged for both the XJ and the XJL Supercharged.
One of the interesting rides is the V6 which produces 340 hp and 332 pound-feet of torque. But it is the 5.0-liter V8 pulling out an incredible 470 hp and 424 pound-feet that is the talk of the town.
They are paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox transmission and on the V6 models, you can have an all-wheel drive. This vehicle also dons a rearview camera, automatic emergency braking,lane-departure warning as well as blind-spot monitoring among other standard safety control features.
Over time, we’ve learned that when automakers plan to create immensely good cars, they immerse themselves into the art and create beautiful creatures that often supersede our expectations. The Jaguar XJ hasn’t disappointed.
