The Alpina B3 Touring Looks Amazing Yet Powerful

The question of whether wagons are still a good choice for automakers is debatable. Things are constantly changing in this sphere and new entries are to evaluated consistently.

The Alpina B3 Touring is a wagon whose timing is expected to ruffle feathers, even as the company tells fans to wait for the sedan version which is to come later on. Expected to get to production in 2020, the Alpina B3 Touring will carry a six-cylinder turbocharged engine taking in 3.0 liter.

It is good enough for 382 HP and 369 HP meant for the European market. Alpina loses the twin-turbocharged setup and it is expected to come over in this car raising the total output to about 400 HP or even 450 horses.

If by any chance the car is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox and the company’s xDrive all-wheel-drive unit, then we have a massively powerful and competitive car coming our way. Expected to do zero to 60mph in just four seconds, we no doubt have a very capable car coming our away.

As we get into the last quarter of the year, a lot of changes are impacting the auto market. Manufacturers take every opportunity to showcase what they have been up to for the last couple of months and give us a teaser of what to expect going into the next year and beyond.
