Whatever it is that Lexus is trying to achieve with the threateningly wide spindle grille found on the Lexus LC is still something we are yet to grasp. However, it is clear that there is an intention to let the vehicle breathe more through the front nose while getting a distinctly lovely look from the entire front shape.
Lexus made this car to sit low in a sedan design that promises pure coupe comfort and luxury. It is no wonder then that Lexus suited this as a build-to-order car, making it a scarce commodity. This car is built on the company’s GA-L(Global Architecture) platform which sets forth a new era in its luxury car designs. In many ways, therefore, the Lexus LF-LC is a special car for the brand.
Two trims of the Lexus LC are all the choices you have. It could be the LC 500 or the LC500h. They bot spot different drive trains with the LC500 carrying a V8 5.0-liter engine that produces 471 hp and is able to pull 398 lb-ft of torque.
This one is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox transmission. On the other hand, the LC 500h, houses a hybrid system and a V6 3.5-liter engine. It also drives with the assistance of an electric motor and the hydride battery is made from nickel metal. The four-speed automatic transmission is a CVT(Continuous Variant Transmission). This drivetrain produces 354 hp.
This is not a bad thing for a luxury brand that has cut a niche for itself with several respectable products over the years. The exquisite exterior design is undoubtedly one element that makes the LC an unrivaled winner in its category.
