I remember seeing a Dinan tuned BMW back in the days, Steve Dinan made his name by creating some of the world’s fastest BMWs while retaining their reliability, he founded Dinan back in 1979, by 1988 the company was called Dinan Engineering Inc, but come 2013 Steve sold his company to Driven Performance Brands but he remained until 2015, he subsequently moved onto Ganassi Racing to get more involved in racing, but it seems that interest went away in a matter of 12 months, and by 2016 Steve Dinan returned to tuning cars for the road … but now as CarBahn Autoworks … where he goes beyond BMW and takes on Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, Audi S and RS models … so still heavily involved with German imports.
And this is where we are now, admiring an outstanding BMW M8 Competition that has been updated with the wizardry Dinan is known for … the result: 900 bhp and we get Rob Dahm to take this impressive car for a spin on this new Top Gear American YouTubo video … enjoy:
