Whenever I see Lexus on my list , I know I can count on certain Quality, Durability and Reliability standards. The 2024 Lexus NX 350h Luxury AWD delivers on all fronts as anticipated. There are not a lot of major changes from the 2023 model year but there are some enhancements that continue to solidify its status in the compact SUV market.
There is a lot to love with this small, crossover SUV. It has a sporty look with some great exterior lines. Lexus is amazing at cabin design and the 350H doesn’t disappoint. I love the optional 14-inch touchscreen that was in my test vehicle. There were a few important enhancements and additions for the 2024 model year so let’s take a deeper look into my week with the 2024 Lexus NX 350h Luxury AWD.

Exterior
The 2024 Lexus NX 350h makes a bold statement with its exterior, particularly in the officially retired Cadmium Orange color which is an attractive burnt orange. There are still some amazing color choices though that range from the flashy Redline to one of my favorites, Nori Green Pearl or more common White, Gray and Black. This compact SUV sits proudly, giving drivers a heightened sense of position on the road. The 20 inch wheels really add to the overall strong stance. One thing about the NX 350 I really liked is it seems to have the perfect height and ground clearance, the specs say 7.7 inches. Despite its compact size, the NX 350h doesn’t compromise on presence, offering ample space and commanding visibility.

Interior
Inside the NX 350h is a cabin full of luxury and technology. The large, optional 14-inch touchscreen infotainment center takes center stage, offering intuitive access to the vehicle’s myriad features, including the Lexus Interface with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Voice Assistant. The available Digital Key adds a layer of convenience and sophistication. For 2024, Lexus has tastefully enhanced the interior with color-keyed elements in the glove box and passenger side center console, creating a cohesive and upscale environment. My test Lexus has seats, adorned in cream-colored braids, are not only visually appealing but also exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a comfortable ride experience whether you’re navigating city streets or embarking on a long road trip.
Engine and Transmission
The Lexus NX 350h elevates the alt-fuel segment with its enhanced power and efficiency. Its advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive system combines a D4-S fuel injection 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a duo of high-torque electric motor-generators, which produces robust acceleration and overtaking capabilities. This model innovates by utilizing a unique AWD system that forgoes traditional transfer gears and a driveshaft, instead incorporating a dedicated electric motor to activate the rear wheels for additional traction when necessary.
This refined hybrid setup generates a total system output of 240 horsepower, achieves a swift 0-60 mph sprint in just 7.2 seconds, and offers an impressive EPA-estimated fuel efficiency of 39 MPG combined.I had no problems averaging 36-38 MPG with little to no effort to conserve fuel.

Driving the NX 350 hybrid is an enjoyable experience. The vehicle’s adept maneuverability allows for easy navigation through traffic, while the impressive fuel economy of approximately 39 miles per gallon ensures that your journey is as efficient as it is enjoyable. The heads-up display and an array of safety features ensure that drivers can remain focused on the road ahead, confidently handling the vehicle’s spirited performance. It is super easy to park and is a solid choice for a daily driver. The ground clearance does give it that extra check mark in the visibility department.
Safety
The 2024 NX series comes outfitted with the latest array of driver assistance technologies from Lexus. The comprehensive Lexus Safety System 3.0+ encompasses features such as Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, a Pre-Collision system that includes Pedestrian Detection, as well as Dynamic Radar Cruise Control complemented by Curve Speed Management. Additionally, it includes Lane Departure Alert paired with Steering Assist and Intelligent High Beam Headlamps for enhanced safety.
Standard features also include a Blind Spot Monitor and a Digital Latch equipped with Safe Exit Assist for added security and convenience.
Furthermore, the package offers optional enhancements, including Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, and a Panoramic View Monitor, providing an extra layer of protection and assistance.
For me the heads up display and easy to use steering wheel controls make it easy to get all the information you need without taking your eyes off the road.
