2022 Infinity QX80 Sensory 4WD Review

The 2022 Infinity QX80 Sensory 4WD is a notable SUV that seamlessly combines aesthetics, advanced technology, and performance. As the flagship model of the Infinity lineup, it offers a truly immersive driving experience for those seeking the pinnacle of luxury and capability.

With its striking design, refined interior, powerful engine, comprehensive safety features, and customizable options packages, the QX80 Sensory 4WD accurately represents Infinity’s commitment to excellence. There is a lot to love with The Infinity QX80. Let’s start with the exterior.

Exterior:

The exterior of the 2022 Infinity QX80 Sensory 4WD is a good blend of sophistication and ruggedness. Its bold and commanding presence is accentuated by a prominent grille, distinctive LED headlights, and elegant lines that give it a hint of luxury. The thing about the QX80 is it’s tough enough for most off-roading adventures and still classy enough to drive to the Ball.

I like the 22-inch alloy wheels which add to the commanding stance on the road,. The standard power-sliding moonroof adds a touch of openness to the overall design and gives passengers a lot of space to view the open sky. It is especially a nice feature driving through the winding , mountain roads of Flagstaff, AZ with the mixture of trees and sky above you.

The Sensory package further enhances the exterior with chrome accents, unique front bumper, and dark-painted roof rails, making the QX80 Sensory 4WD a true head-turner.

Interior:

Inside the QX80 Sensory 4WD, I was greeted by an oasis of refined luxury. The cabin has exquisite craftsmanship, and thoughtful details that create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The spacious interior can accommodate up to seven passengers across three rows, with ample legroom and headroom for all occupants. The standard leather-appointed seating surfaces, heated front seats, and ventilated front and second-row seats provide comfort, even on longer journeys. The tri-zone automatic climate control system allows individualized temperature settings for different areas of the cabin, which is necessary here in Arizona, especially in the Summer months. My test vehicle came with the Bose Cabin Surround sound system that delivers an immersive audio experience.

Engine:

Under the hood, the QX80 Sensory 4WD houses a strong 5.6-liter V8 engine, generating an 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The  V8 engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth and seamless gear changes. The advanced four-wheel-drive system provides traction and stability for a variety of terrains. You can count on the performance aspects of the QX80. The maximum towing capacity of up to 8,500 pounds, the QX80 Sensory 4WD allows for towing a variety of things without compromising its luxurious character.

Safety Features:

Infinity prioritizes safety, and the QX80 Sensory 4WD comes equipped with an array of cutting-edge safety features. Standard safety technologies include a forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, and intelligent cruise control. Additionally, the Sensory package offers an around-view monitor system with moving object detection, which provides a comprehensive view of the surroundings, enhancing parking and maneuvering safety.

Options Packages:

The QX80 Sensory 4WD offers various options packages that allow buyers to customize their vehicle to their preferences. The ProASSIST package adds advanced safety features like distance control assist, backup collision intervention, and blind-spot intervention. The Theater package includes dual 8-inch screens for rear passengers, wireless headphones, and HDMI input for entertainment purposes. For those seeking even more luxury, the ProACTIVE package offers features such as adaptive front lighting, hydraulic body motion control, and a rearview mirror with a built-in camera.

Conclusion:

The 2022 Infinity QX80 Sensory 4WD is a really nice, up scale SUV that offers a great driving and passenger experience. This is a luxury SUV so the $87,985 MSRP reflects all that craftsmanship and performance. Infinity lives up to its name with the new QX80.
