With the introduction of the Porsche Taycan EV, the competition landscape has changed significantly. This car sets out to challenge the Tesla Model S, a segment that has remained largely uncontested. Combining performance and luxury, the Taycan offers a unique blend that appeals to car enthusiasts.
Adding an interesting twist, Porsche quietly launched a more budget-friendly version alongside the well-known “Turbo” and “Turbo S” variants – the Taycan 4S.
Despite being positioned as the base model, the Taycan 4S boasts impressive specifications that will excite any car aficionado. It is available with two battery options, with the larger one holding 93.4 kWh.
Generating a respectable 563 horsepower, the Taycan 4S falls slightly short of the Turbo S in power. This car is ideal for daily driving while still maintaining the style and performance expected from a Porsche, featuring a sleek design with a characteristic long nose.
Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes just 3.8 seconds, and the top speed is capped at 155 mph. Porsche claims a range of 253 miles for the standard model, with the Performance battery increasing this to 288 miles. The Taycan 4S is designed to deliver on both functionality and aesthetics.
