The Mustang Shelby is coming over to challenge the likes of the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the very gifted Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. Although it has several comparable characteristics to track-efficient GT-350, it is still a vehicle of its own cloth and knows how to play in its league.
The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby wears a V8, 5.2-liter engine that is supercharged. Producing a catchy 760 horsepower and pulling 625 lb-ft of torque, this engine is assisted by a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. It is a combination that gives the Mustang Shelby some authentic pride for the power it manages to stir up.
Using adaptive dampers, the this Shelby affirms its ability to to make a smooth ride and proper braking. It wears the cool Michelin Pilot Sport 45 tires and uses Brembo braking.
It has also taken care of weight matters going as far as eliminating the back seat. The GT500 is offered in four exhaust modes that are determined by how and what the driver really wants.
You have a chance to sit inside a totally cool ambiance with noise canceling components affixed into the cabin. When this is combined with the terrific exhaust capabilities, the GT500 no doubt becomes a lovely noise maker.
As expected, this 2020 Shelby is calculating its aerodynamic capabilities wisely to reap the maximum benefit.
