Back in 1994, Audi threw its weight into a game that had previously been dominated by the Mercedes AMG. Through the Audi RS 2 Avant, a director competitor the Corvettes and the Porsche 911 had been thrown around.
Currently, it is the Audi RS 6 Avant that is making tongues turn and twist. Indeed, a machine claiming to do 591 hp, and pick from zero to 60mph in just 3.6 seconds, is worth becoming the talk of the town. As if this is not enough, you can opt for the Dynamic Plus package that will give you 190 mph at the top of the speed.
The 2020 RS 6 Avant was meant to be powerful and relay fast. Its makers also gave it a mild hybrid system that generates at least 12 kW of electric power.
The system works via a 48-volt belt alternator starter system that is accredited for spinning the engine speedily any time more power is required. Assisting the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine is a sport-tuned eight-speed automatic transmission.
Power is split 40/60 between the front-to-rear mechanicals under normal conditions. The RS 6 Avant comes is offered with two suspension options.
There is one that is just standard height-adjustable air suspension which comes with electronically controlled damping. Then you can opt for the RS sport suspension plus that offers some curious Dynamic Ride Control and makes use of steel springs and three-stage adjustable dampers.
