The 2018 McLaren 650S Spider Can-Am is a special edition model that pays tribute to the Can-Am race cars from 1966. Produced by McLaren Special Operations, only 50 units of this model will be made, featuring exclusive enhancements that reflect the spirit of the Can-Am racers.
The 650S Can-Am is based on the 650S Spider and comes with a quad-exit stainless-steel exhaust system and several carbon-fiber components such as the roof, hood, front splitter, rear bumper, spoiler, door blades, and side sills.
It also introduces McLaren’s first retractable carbon fiber hardtop and is available in three race-inspired colors: Mars Red, Papaya Spark, and Onyx Black.
Under the hood, the car is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 641 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft. of torque. This powerful engine allows the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in three seconds and reach a top speed of 204 mph.
Overall, the 650S Can-Am is a limited-edition supercar that combines performance, style, and a nod to racing history.
