Auction house RM Sotheby’s has made a rather exciting announcement for car collectors and general enthusiasts. The news is that a particular McLaren F1 that carries chassis 018 is up for grabs sometimes in August 2019. But why is this a special case and a special car in entirety?

To start with, this is just one of two particular cars that McLaren built and dubbed the “LM specifications.”
A special element of this modification was what the highly acclaimed sports car maker called the “Extra-High Downforce Kit.”

Then there was a BMW V12 engine that took in 6.1-liter that McLaren modified for super performance. This unrestricted engine pulls as much as 680 horsepower. more than 50 ponies over the standard F1’s 627.

Even without as much drilling, this is an optimal performing car that was further given 18-inch OZ Racing spoke wheels for better road grip.

The car that the auction house has put up for sale left the factory back in 994. It reads a good 13,352 miles and has severally been back to McLaren Special Operations.

Although the exact price of this awesome weird and wild performance car is still unknown, estimates can be done using what the auction house RM Sotheby has done in the recent past. In 2018, they put a $22 Million dollar mark on a high-downforce kit-equipped F1.

Could this one fetch even a much higher price? Only time will tell, although chances are quite high.
