Rolls Royce is all set to introduce its inaugural all-electric model, the Spectre, later today. While anticipation builds for the official reveal, leaked images have emerged online to give us a sneak peek.
Initially, the Rolls Royce Spectre may seem like an updated version of the Wraith. The front grille appears sleeker yet retains its commanding presence. Flanking it are split headlamps, a design feature that has been increasingly seen on top-tier BMW models.
Although the overall silhouette of the Spectre resembles its predecessors, Rolls Royce has taken steps to distinguish the EV from its internal combustion engine counterparts. This distinction is achieved through a distinctive set of headlamps and tail lights. The leaked image showcases a slim rectangular tail lamp ensemble with two vertical LED elements.
Bearing a resemblance to the Phantom and Cullinan, the Rolls Royce Spectre shares its foundational structure with these models. Specifics regarding the all-electric powertrain have yet to be revealed.
Bentley, a rival luxury car manufacturer, is also in the process of developing an electric vehicle. As per CEO Adrian Hallmark, Bentley’s premier EV will boast 1400 horsepower and achieve a 0-60 mph acceleration in just 1.5 seconds!
