Review of the Renault Talisman: A Stylish SUV with Impressive Features and Performance

The Renault Talisman is a strikingly attractive vehicle made by the French automaker. It comes in PE, SE, and LE trims, all of which are front-wheel drive models. The car offers a choice between a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 138 horsepower and 193 Nm of torque paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine with 187 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque.

The Talisman stands out with its captivating exterior design featuring distinctive elements. The front of the car is highlighted by Renault’s signature C-shaped LED daytime running lights, designed by Laurens van den Acker, giving it a commanding presence. The PE Talisman models lack this feature but make up for it with a sleek low roofline, elongated body, and rear end defined by unique light clusters that almost meet in the middle, establishing a strong visual identity.

With a best-in-class wheelbase of 2,808 mm, the Talisman offers exceptional rear knee-room of 262 mm. The front cabin provides ample headroom (902 mm) and shoulder-room (750 mm), while the rear boasts a spacious 608-liter boot.

On the technology front, the car comes equipped with a 7.0-inch TFT instrument display and an 8.7-inch portrait-oriented R-Link 2 infotainment screen mounted on the dashboard, which are exclusive to higher trim models. The interior is not only visually appealing but also roomy, and the R-Link 2 system functions seamlessly.

It will be interesting to see how the Renault Talisman aims to outperform its rivals in the competitive market.
