Between 1966 and 1972, the Lamborghini plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, crafted a total of 763 Miuras, a classic in the automobile world. However, the number of Miuras produced by various model car manufacturers exceeds this count.

One such manufacturer is Kyosho from Japan, known for creating detailed 1:18 scale models of the Miura SV and the Miura SVR, including the iconic race-bred Miura SVR designed by Lamborghini test driver Bob Wallace, famously featured in the Japanese manga “Circuit Wolf”.

This particular Miura SVR holds a legendary status, sparking demand for more Miura SVJ and the unique Miura SVR models from Automobili Lamborghini. The latter was eventually purchased in Japan, becoming the inspiration for the comic book character and the Kyosho toy version. The restoration journey for this iconic car undertaken by the Lamborghini Storico team was a challenging 19-month endeavor.

Paolo Gabrielli, the Head of After Sales and Director of Polo Storico at Lamborghini, shared, “The Polo Storico team faced a daunting task as the car arrived in Sant’Agata disassembled but complete, with significant modifications. Customer-requested safety features like 4-point safety belts, improved seats, and a detachable roll bar were added to enhance safety during track appearances.”
