In 1973, Ferrari introduced the mid-engine flat-12 Berlinetta Boxer, following the front-engine V-12 Daytona. This vehicle evolved into the 512 BB from 1976-81, with approximately 930 units being produced in Maranello, Italy.
Like many exotic cars, the 512BB was customized by Koenig Specials in Munich, resulting in distinctive features such as a deep front spoiler, integrated wing mirrors, dramatic side seals, wide flared arches hiding larger BBS wheels, air scoops, and a striking rear wing.
Automotive enthusiast Tiff Needell recently had the opportunity to take this Koenig-modified 512BB, featuring 450 horsepower, for a drive. Watch the video below to hear his thoughts on the experience:
