The Regera was designed as a premium hypercar option, contrasting with Koenigsegg’s standard lineup of lightweight, racing-oriented, road-legal automobiles. It features a robust 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, complemented by three electric motors and an innovative powertrain system known as Koenigsegg Direct Drive, which incorporates state-of-the-art battery technology.
While Koenigsegg’s vehicles have consistently featured unexpected levels of practicality and comfort, the main intention has always been to manufacture the fastest cars available. The Regera, boasting an impressive 1,500 horsepower, upholds this tradition by marrying extraordinary speed with exceptional comfort and the distinctive Direct Drive experience.
Only around 85 units of the Regera were produced, including this specific model currently on offer at RM Sotheby’s. Chassis number 7218 was originally delivered to the UK through SuperVettura, an authorized Koenigsegg dealer, in May 2022, as part of a batch of five Regeras destined for UK clientele.
Sporting a finish of Arctic White, this Regera is adorned with dual carbon fiber stripes that extend across the hood, roof, and rear, complemented by a single stripe along each flank. It showcases optional Tresex AirCore Carbon wheels paired with white brake calipers, achieving a striking visual effect.
This vehicle was showcased at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed by SuperVettura, and later that same year, it was acquired by its present owner in Hong Kong. The car was then transported to Hong Kong, where it has yet to be registered, featuring less than 20 miles on the odometer.
