RM Sotheby’s is preparing to auction an extraordinary 2022 Bugatti Centodieci, one of merely 10 units ever manufactured, with an estimated selling price between $10.5 million and $15.5 million. This hypercar pays tribute to the iconic EB110 from the 1990s while showcasing Bugatti’s state-of-the-art engineering and design.

The Centodieci, which means “110” in Italian, commemorates the 110th anniversary of Bugatti, which was established by Ettore Bugatti in 1909. Unveiled at The Quail in 2019, it also pays tribute to Romano Artioli’s Italian revival of Bugatti during the early 1990s, highlighted by the EB110. The car features angular shapes, a compact horseshoe grille, slim headlights, round C-pillar intakes, and a fixed rear wing—all reminiscent of the classic EB110.

Beneath its homage-inspired aesthetics lies sophisticated technology. The Centodieci shares its foundations with the Chiron but includes modifications that distinguish it. Its powerful 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W-16 engine delivers an astonishing 1,600 horsepower. With a 20-kilogram reduction in weight and enhanced steering characteristics, the Centodieci can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds, achieving an electronically capped top speed of 236 mph.

This particular Centodieci, bearing chassis number 006, showcases a stunning Quartz White and Grey Carbon exterior that is beautifully complemented by a sumptuous Beluga Black and Gris Rafale leather interior. The exquisite craftsmanship is further highlighted by Black Anodized trim and Glacier door sills. Acquired new by a Swiss collector in 2019, this vehicle has been meticulously cared for and has only covered 437 kilometers (272 miles).

The exclusivity of the Centodieci is highlighted by its extensive documentation, which includes the original purchase agreement, detailed build specifications, and TÜV certification papers. Having been delivered in September 2022, the vehicle benefits from an active manufacturer’s warranty lasting until 2026, providing prospective buyers with added reassurance.

As one of the most exclusive recent Bugatti models, the Centodieci signifies the apex of the W-16 powertrain era. This engine, known for its intricate engineering design, is among the most advanced ever used in a production car. With Bugatti’s shift toward hybridized V-16 systems, vehicles like the Centodieci stand as a landmark in the brand’s progression.
