Introduced to widespread praise at the 2015 North American Auto Show, the Ford GT signaled a resurgence in racing success by securing the GT-class title at the 2016 Le Mans, precisely 50 years after Ford’s legendary overall triumph.
Created in collaboration with Chip Ganassi Racing/Multimatic’s racing models, the Ford GT road variants are effectively street-ready endurance racers. These vehicles are produced by Multimatic at a specialized low-volume production facility in Markham, Ontario, with the first road model completed in December 2016 in the presence of Ford executives.
This 2021 Ford GT currently available on Bring A Trailer represents one of just 20 units produced as part of the Studio Collection for that year. It was originally delivered to Kendall Ford in Bozeman, Montana, with a starting price of $651,000, and it has recorded a mere 34 miles on the odometer.
Constructed using advanced materials, the GT features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, aluminum subframes, and an integrated roll cage, all contributing to its race-ready design. The hydraulic pushrod suspension, butterfly doors, and teardrop-shaped aerodynamics elevate both performance and visual appeal, while rear flying buttresses direct airflow toward the engine.
This mid-mounted twin-turbo 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 engine generates 660 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, providing exceptional performance capabilities. The impressive torque, combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, facilitates a remarkable 0-60 MPH acceleration in under 3 seconds, with a maximum speed reaching 216 MPH.
The vehicle is presented in a sophisticated Frozen White finish complemented by Ingot Silver graphics. This exclusive edition features a $15,000 Gloss Exterior Carbon Fiber package, along with a Light Speed Interior boasting blue Alcantara Sparco seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a lightweight Gorilla Glass windshield. Comfort features for passengers include climate control and infotainment options, while the stunning supercar is topped off with available 20-inch Satin Diamond Silver wheels.
