The Huayra marks Pagani’s second foray into the world of supercars following the highly successful Zonda. While it shares a similar aesthetic, it boasts a V12 engine sourced from Mercedes and leverages Pagani’s expertise in carbon fiber manufacturing. Named after a wind deity from Quechua mythology in South America, this vehicle fuses state-of-the-art technology with a tribute to Horacio Pagani’s Argentinian roots.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 730 bhp and 1,000 Nm of torque, the Huayra incorporates advanced active aerodynamics. This system employs four independently controlled flaps that adjust automatically to optimize for drag reduction, enhance downforce, or minimize body roll in response to speed, steering, and throttle input.
This extraordinary supercar can reach a maximum speed of 238 mph and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.0 seconds. With a production run limited to just 100 coupes, the Huayra offers a wide range of customization options. Additionally, it marked Pagani’s transition to being fully compliant with U.S. regulations, providing solid dealer networks and after-sales service.
Available for purchase on Bring A Trailer, this 2014 Pagani Huayra is the 78th out of the 100 coupes made between 2011 and 2018. Initially delivered to British Motor Car Distributors in San Francisco, it includes the highly sought-after “Tempesta” package. This performance-oriented enhancement improves aerodynamics and decreases weight, incorporating a titanium exhaust system, Öhlins coilovers, staggered-diameter wheels, and reimagined carbon fiber elements such as the front splitter, underbody panels, and rear diffuser.
The striking silver exterior of the vehicle is complemented by a black leather interior featuring Pagani’s iconic design elements.The vehicle features a combination of carbon fiber and aluminum accents. Among its additional attributes are a seven-speed automated manual transaxle with a single clutch, a pushrod-operated adjustable suspension system, carbon-ceramic brakes with striking red calipers, active aerodynamics, a handcrafted aluminum gearshift that showcases exposed linkage, a top-tier Sonus faber audio system, and an advanced touchscreen infotainment interface.
