Porsche has launched two new models in their all-electric four-door sports car range, the Taycan Turbo GT and the Turbo GT with Weissach Package. These models are specifically built for track performance, featuring a lighter chassis, enhanced electric motor, and improved aerodynamics, which significantly boost the Taycan’s capabilities.
Top Gear magazine had an exclusive preview of the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package, which set a new record lap time at the iconic Laguna Seca raceway with an impressive time of 1:27.87 minutes, making it the fastest car on that circuit.
This model also holds the record for the fastest lap at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, completing it in only 7:07.55 minutes, surpassing the previous record held by the Taycan Turbo S in 2022 by a remarkable 26 seconds.
The Taycan Turbo GT stands out as the quickest accelerating and most powerful Porsche ever produced. This new Taycan is equipped with a dual-motor powertrain that delivers up to 1,092 hp, enabling the electric vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, or even quicker in 2.2 seconds with the Weissach Package option.
