Last year, there were hints about Porsche developing a new version of their iconic 911 model called Sport Classic. Recently, leaked images of what is believed to be the prototype of this limited edition vehicle have surfaced online. Insiders from Porsche have now disclosed some key details about the upcoming model. The official unveiling of this car is anticipated to take place before July 2022.
The 992 Sport Classic is projected to be built on the foundation of the 911 Turbo. It will showcase a unique ducktail spoiler and a sleeker appearance due to the elimination of intake vents on the rear fenders.
Rumors circulating suggest that the Sport Classic will be powered by a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo flat-6 engine that can generate approximately 550 hp. This model will exclusively offer a manual transmission and will be available only in a rear-wheel-drive setup.
According to reliable sources, the 2023 Porsche Sport Classic will be strictly limited to just 992 units. Surprisingly, all units have already been sold out, despite the hefty price tag of around €280,000 excluding VAT.
