Passione Engadina held in St. Moritz is known as one of the most exclusive motoring events globally. In 2022, the event honored Bugatti by showcasing a unique ‘Pavillon Bugatti’ featuring 13 rare and special cars in the heart of St. Moritz. A selection of Bugatti vehicles participated in the Julius Baer rally, driving through mountain roads and alpine passes of Bernina, Umbrail, and Fuorn for a truly unforgettable experience.
Passione Engadina first took place in 1992, making the 2022 edition the eleventh year of this extraordinary gathering focusing on rare classic cars built until 1992. This year, the history of Ettore Bugatti’s journey and the evolution of the Bugatti brand were highlighted through a special exhibition near the famous Kulm Hotel. The ‘Pavillon Bugatti’ showcased 13 cars, ranging from the Type 1 Prinetti Stucchi – recognized as Ettore Bugatti’s first motorized tricycle project – to the Bolide hyper sports car, designed for track use and expected to be delivered to customers in 2024. The legacy of Ettore Bugatti continues today, as he famously said: “If comparable, it is no longer Bugatti.”
The Pavillon Bugatti, generously loaned by Bugatti customers, was open to the public until August 28th and attracted nearly 20,000 visitors. The showcase featured a remarkable lineup of cars.
