The Jaguar XJ220 is an iconic supercar from the 1990s that initially emerged as a groundbreaking concept at the 1988 British International Motor Show. The prototype was equipped with a V12 engine and all-wheel drive, all built on a lightweight bonded aluminum honeycomb chassis. Upon entering production, the XJ220 retained its sophisticated chassis but adopted a more streamlined form with a reduced wheelbase and a rally-inspired V6 engine, derived from the MG Metro 6R4 Group B rally car.

In 1993, Jaguar partnered with Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) to produce two racing versions of the XJ220: the XJ220-C for competitive racing, and the XJ220-S, which was road-legal. Additionally, three XJ220s were modified to comply with Group N specifications for private racing teams. These “N” models competed in significant events, including the 1993 Italian GT series and the Global GT Endurance Series.

Among these variants, a 1993 XJ220-N is currently for sale on Bring A Trailer. This vehicle is the third and final Group N-spec car constructed by TWR and was originally commissioned by Top Run racing for the 1993 Campionato Italiano Supercar GT championship.

Unlike its counterparts, chassis 003 was never put to use and was sold off in 1994. Once serving as a backup vehicle, this car remains in impeccable condition, with its original Spa Silver hue now protected beneath a vinyl wrap, applied in 2024. The wrap replicates the livery found on the 1993 Italian GT cars, complete with sponsor logos and the number 13.

Although it is primarily a race car, the XJ220-N maintains various features from its road-going variants, including a front air dam, rear spoiler, and retractable headlights. The multipiece BBS wheels are shod with Hoosier tires, and the braking system features Brembo disc brakes.

The car is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged JV6 engine, developed collaboratively with TWR, generating close to 700 horsepower. It features a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The interior includes racing seats, a digital dashboard, and a roll cage for added safety.
