Hennessey Performance has posted a sneak peek of an upcoming model of the Venom F5 hypercar.
Although specific details are scarce at the moment, the teaser image indicates that this could be a variant of the Venom F5 designed for enhanced downforce. Notable features include a fixed rear spoiler and a roof scoop for increased air intake.
There were rumors circulating in 2021 that Hennessey was considering a track-oriented version of the hypercar. This model would prioritize better cornering capabilities through a high-downforce setup, potentially sacrificing some straight-line speed. Unlike the standard Venom F5, which boasts a claimed top speed exceeding 300 mph, the track-focused iteration will likely be limited in speed due to its aerodynamic enhancements.
It is anticipated that the track-focused Venom F5 will utilize the same 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine found in the standard model. This powerhouse generates an impressive 1817 hp at 8000 rpm and 1,193 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm, paired with a semi-automatic single-clutch transmission.
