A new version of the Porsche 911 is on the way. The current 8th-generation 911 has been around for five years now, so it’s about time for an updated model. Porsche is being secretive about the details of the new car, keeping it well under wraps.
Highlights of the Next-gen Porsche Speedster
The upcoming Porsche Speedster is anticipated to make its debut at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show. While there are no images of the car available yet, it is expected to closely resemble its predecessor, the last Speedster that was on the market until 2020. Like previous Speedsters, the new model is expected to feature a compact, angled windscreen, a convertible top, and a large cover for the rear compartment.
Although traditional Speedster models have not been focused on luxury, Porsche may offer an optional or even standard power-operated roof for added convenience. There might also be extra storage space behind the seats.
Engine Details of the Upcoming Porsche 911 Speedster
The new Speedster is likely to be powered by Porsche’s renowned naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, which is shared with the 911 GT3 model. With an output of 518 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque, this engine is expected to provide impressive performance due to the Speedster’s lightweight design.
