The core of the AMG One is a potent Formula 1-derived 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine combined with a hybrid system, delivering a total of 1049 horsepower. In addition to its power, the hypercar boasts exceptional aerodynamics that enhance cornering grip and minimize drag for maximum straight-line speed. The car’s drag reduction system for the rear wing proved especially beneficial at high-speed tracks like Monza.
The Mercedes-AMG One had previously set a production car lap record at the Nurburgring in November of last year, with Engel once again behind the wheel, completing the 21 km circuit in an impressive 6 minutes and 35.183 seconds.
