In the vehicle manufacturing business, company history and founders’ life story have a nondetachable bond. Regardless of whether the company changes ownership over time or not, there’s always the base root part that is maintained.
To celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of founder Ferruccio Lamborgini, the company built the Lamborghini Centenario, which basically translates to century. For now, we will spare the whole story of how the company was built and instead focus on this limited edition car.
It is powered by a gargantuan 6.5-liter V12 that produces 760 bhp (20 bhp more than the epic Aventador SV) and 507 torque. It’ll clock 0–62 mph in 2.8 seconds. Then, within 23.5 seconds it will have hit 186 mph.
To carry it around, it wears a set of bespoke Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres: 255/30 ZR20 on the front and 355/25 ZR21 on the rear. These “legs” carries the Centenario to a top speed of 217 mph.
Going by the special taste on this car, each Centenario is personalized to the customer’s liking through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalization program. We are talking of elements such as color leather, piping, stitching, Alcantara among other materials elements. However, they all come with standard 10.1-inch touchscreen navigation, Apple CarPlay, telemetry and more.
Allow us to say that this one car we can talk about everlastingly. You hope you get a chance to ride on this monumental, memorial $1.9 million worth machine sometime in your lifetime.
